AVL Powertrain Engineering, Inc. is looking to add engineers to our electrification field. To succeed in this role candidates should be adaptable with the ability to utilize problem solving abilities as needed. As an engineer in AVLs electrification area it is key to possess proficient communication skills to be used within a team atmosphere and also when communicating to the customer. Experience in passenger cars is preferred. In addition, qualified candidates should have a background in one or more of the fields below:BMS (Battery Management Systems)Power ElectronicsControlsSystem IntegrationE:MotorsE:AxlesHybrid Powertrains Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full:time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.The specific roles of an electrification engineer include:Execute systems engineering principles to integrate electrification technologies within hybrid and electric vehicle powertrain system platforms.Definition and execution of: functional requirements, system boundaries, component and subsystem interface definition, functional safety, and performance trackingWorks on specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, preparation of specifications, technical plans, powertrain system and component testing, data analysis and validation.Experience and Education Minimum of 5+ years of experience in area of expertise with a BachelorA?s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field required.
