We are looking for a talented E:commerce Solution Design Engineer to join our team based in (any of our centers : Alpharetta, GA, Ft. Worth, TX or Novi, MI). In this role, you will provide engineering support for ecommerce/ direct to consumer fulfillment business development initiatives. As new business opportunities are identified, you will work with both potential customers and a world class cross:functional team of your peers to develop an optimal, direct to consumer, fulfillment design. You will evaluate, design, develop and recommend a wide range of solution components such as a fulfillment strategy, facility layout, equipment, systems and labor strategies. Often times, we only are equipped with an incomplete or ambiguous data for our designs, so you should be comfortable dealing with limited data scenarios and able to make strong recommendations based on partial knowledge. Please be aware : only candidates with direct ecommerce/ direct to consumer fulfillment experience will be considered. To be successful, youA?ll need to have a strong knowledge of all supply chain processes in a direct to consumer environment and how they interact and affect distribution management strategies. You should be experienced in designing distribution facilities and warehousing processes in a high velocity, direct to consumer environment. You must be able to easily and effectively communicate and work closely with customers as well as an internal, cross:functional team that includes engineering, sales, IT, pricing and management. This really is an outstanding opportunity for the right person coming from an e:commerce background, looking for a challenge, and eager about to grow their career within a Fortune 500 company.Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial EngineeringEight (8) years or more experience in the Transportation industry(e.g., Truckload, Multi:stop TL, LTL, Intermodal, Bulk, Rail, or Parcel services)Eight (8) years or more experience in the Warehousing and/or Manufacturing industry (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Warehouse Operations, Operations)Superb data organization and cleansing skillsExhibit advanced skills and concepts using design applications, tools, techniques, and methodologies to analyze and design complex transportation and warehousing networksFamiliarity in simulation tools, transportation and warehouse management systems, ERPs, Automation, MHE, Visibility Tools, and industry leading technologies preferredAbility to influence the project teams by using facts, statistics, and analyticsComprehend complex supply chain and transportation solutions and segment design processes into manageable elements and process stepsExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex designs, concepts, and regulations into terms readily understoodAbility to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)Microsoft Office Suite skills with emphasis on Access, Excel and PowerPoint (expert level)Knowledgeable of visualization (Tableau, Microsoft) and database programming (advanced level)Knowledge of effective metrics programs and design networks that are sustainable and measurable (expert level)Transportation Design:Extensive knowledge of Dedicated Services and Mana
