Johnson Electric is now recruiting for a Senior Electrical Test Technician in Plymouth, MI. This Electrical Lab Technicians main responsibility is to operate in the Engineering Test Lab supporting Engineering Teams (Product and R and D) in the development of prototype samples and validation testing of products.
Responsibilities:
:
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate testing activities
:
Take requirements from specifications and product applications and transform into accurate simulation test
:
Work with cross functional team in the Engineering Test Lab and Engineering Teams (Product and R and D) to assemble and verify electro mechanical fixtures for application specific tests
:
Collect, summarize, and analyze data. Create test reports and other technical documents as needed, primarily in Excel and Word
:
Ability to utilize and apply electromechanical test equipment to products with new features and operating means
:
Manage the execution of validation plans by utilizing internal and external resources to accomplish requirements
:
Specify and order equipment and materials as required to support test system development activities.
:
Conduct environmental tests as specified. Typical tests include but not limited to durability, temperature cycling, vibration, and NVH
:
Ensures that samples are tested to required standards and specifications This includes both R and D and validation testing, analysis, and reporting
:
Create test reports and other technical documents as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
:
Associate degree in Electronics or Electronics Engineering
:
3+ years of experience in automotive
electrical/mechanical test laboratory environment, using data acquisition hardware and software.
Preferred Qualifications:
:
Strong electro:mechanical aptitude, emphasizing electronics test (PCBs)
:
Proficiency in relative specialized software (LabVIEW, Visual Basic, C, B and K Pulse NVH software, Mini tab, and Microsoft project )
:
High level ability to multitask. Position requires the jobholder to conduct several high priority task in parallel at all times.
:
Proficiency in Visual Basic and/or Lab View, and higher level programming languages is required
:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to present technical information to customer engineering and management.
