Job Description:/h3:
Johnson Electric is in search of a Motor Application Engineer.The holder of this position is the technical reference inside the US engineering team for electronics and EC motor application in order to express the best technical proposals able to succeed in new customer business assignments, reaching targeted goals of quality, timing and cost related to products development with the final objective of customers satisfaction and companys profitability. This individual will coordinate the technical activities in cooperation with the motor application engineer supervisor and the CFM application engineer according to the defined tasks involving the motor with special focus on electronics (hardware and software). Work in the Engineering Test Lab in co operation with Engineering Teams for the development methodology for HW and SW test and validation testing. Responsible of HW and SW test during development and validation (DV and PV) including tests reports and product analysis.
:Support the Development of hardware and software by means of validation testing
:Interact with customers specialist counterparts (focus on motor and electronics)
:Engineering support to other locations
:Support to Quality, SCS in order to promptly respond to complains on the product design, mainly focus to a cost saving plan. The overall activities might include direct communication with the supplier.
:Create test procedures and all necessary documentation to support test systems for use in the engineering lab. Create test reports and other technical documents.
:Specify and order equipment and materials as required to support test system development activities
:Ensures that samples are tested to required standards and specifications This includes both R and D and validation testing, analysis, and reporting.
:To be ready for sudden and not planned requests of missions to assemble / rework and test prototypes at the customers site (external) and
Reporting about test results according to the requirements of the engineering team, with detailed description of the testing conditions and of the inspection regarding and main characteristics of the device under test before and after the test itself.
:Understanding customer requirements at a deep level
:Communicating customer requirements to the design teams
:Works to understand a product failure and communicate to the design teams with possible solutions.
:Works on development and validation testing to make sure that the electronic application is reliable
:Dealing with customers counterparts at technical level during technical meetings: organize team, planning the activities (focus on motor and electronics)
:Analyzing specifications requests and products performance with customers related to businesses assignment, taking into account costs, sales, etc
:Put in place action plans to solve technical issues with customers or internally ; Necessity to give fast responses to customer when under pressure, being flexible but maintaining the requested profitability of projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ Years of work experience in an Engineering role
Preferred Qualifications:
:CFM technology
:BLDC motor design technology; Hardware and Software
:Lab equipment and electronic analysis
:Automotive Market;
:Design to cost; Design to manufacturing
:Ability to work under pressure, flexible, self motivated, reliable, down:to:earth personality, cross:cultural competence
