Job Description The CNC Machinist sets up and operates CNC and Other Machine Shop Equipment to build jigs and fixtures, prototype parts, one offs and standard production items. Key Accountabilities include: · Read and interprets blueprints to plan set ups and tools required to manufacture required parts. · Organize requirements to maximize fixturing and tooling. · Use full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspections. · Support production personnel in the resolution of manufacturing jig and fixture challenges. · CNC Machinist should be able to perform set-ups, G & M code programming on a three axis machining center, tool offsetting and knowledge of Standard Milling practices. · CNC Machinist should be able to setup and operate 2 axis CNC lathe. · Be able to set up operate with knowledge of standard lathe. · Familiarity with ordering HSS and cemented carbide insert tooling. Qualifications include: · High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. · Trade School or special training required for setup and program CNC Equipment. · Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Must own your own tools required. · Must be able to willing, maneuver and work safely in a Manufacturing Arena. · Must be a team player and willing to be cross trained on additional equipment so that bottleneck work centers can be addressed to meet the needs of our customers Company Description Company Profile The Global Leader in Providing Products and Application Knowledge to Help Customers Lift, Position, or Secure Materials Easily and Safely Columbus McKinnon is a leading worldwide designer, manufacturer, and marketer of material handling systems and services, which efficiently and ergonomically move, lift, position, or secure material.
