Job Description
As a personal trainer for Better Living Fitness, youll have the opportunity to train a variety of clients with different goals (weight loss, strength, rehabilitation, etc.) and limitations (joint, blood pressure, balance, etc). Your goal will be to represent the Better Living brand to the best of your abilities by being knowledgeable with anatomy, exercise physiology, and exercise prescription. Your success will help our clients feel more confident, stronger, and healthy; all while helping the Better Living brand expand in Ann Arbor.

COMPENSATION: How much you earn varies depending on your experience level, availability, number of sessions trained/week, number of classes taught/week, and number of front desk hours worked. Personal training session wages start at 25/hr,class wages start at 12/hr, and hourly wages start at 9/hr.

Not everyone has what it takes to be a Better Living Personal Trainer. To be truly considered for this position, please have the following pre:requisites:
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or working towards one in a fitness related field
EXPERIENCE: 1 + years previous personal training experience
CERTIFIED: Current certification from accredited organization (ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA) and First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
SKILLS: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills; be it through texting, emails, phone calls, and in:person meetings. Also have a strong understanding of the muscular system and biomechanics.
CHARACTERISTICS: This is a fairly independent position, so you need to be self:motivated and timely. There are also weekly meetings involved where your performance will be evaluated, therefore you will need to be able to highlight your wins, struggles, and progresses.

As one of Better Livings Personal Trainers, you will be responsible for:
DESIGNING workout routines that follow Better Livings format based on the clients goals.
MAINTAINING your Google calendar by following proper protocol.
COMMUNICATING changes in your schedule or client sessions with the office manager.
MANAGING your checkouts in the Mind Body system daily.
