Our client is seeking an Engineering Manager to manage Software Engineering staff members building our next generation real:time Advanced Threats platform.
The ideal candidate has experience working as an Engineering Manager with multiple direct reports, coaching and mentoring staff members, and ensuring staff members efforts balance project timelines, requirements, and quality. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for guiding staff career growth, assisting with release planning, and coordinating resources and processes to deliver multiple annual software releases.
The candidate will work with peer Engineering Managers, a QA Manager, Product Owners, Product Management, Program Management, Scrum Masters, scrum team members, and other stakeholders to help lead teams to meet business and end user needs. The candidate will help team members build consensus quickly and champion improvements to development processes and best practices within the teams. The Engineering Manager will assist with planning and execution on projects, ensuring that the teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resourcing. The candidate must be effective at communicating the product vision, and identifying and resolving dependencies amongst multiple teams.

Qualifications
Required:
Three or more years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
Eight or more years of engineering experience as a Software Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, or Architect, or applicable experience delivering Software projects.
Two or more years of experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Demonstrable experience of working on the design, development, and release cycles, and delivering products to market.
Strong relationship building and collaboration skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a self:directed manner, with minimal supervision.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Applicable experience in a Software Engineering or Management role is also applicable.
Experience with version control systems such as git or svn.
