The Assistant Director is responsible for pharmacy services in our ~ 350-bed children’s and women's hospital. These duties include hiring, supervision and performance reviews of clinical pharmacists, residents, interns, students and pharmacy technicians, providing strategic direction for the area, oversight of pharmacy distribution and clinical services, participation in health system and departmental committees and initiatives, new program development and implementation, as well as quality and performance improvement. Keys to success for this position include fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, exceptional personnel management skills, excellent communication skills, and clinical and distribution system thinking. This position serves as pharmacy administrator on call on a rotating basis.
