Description
To lead a team in the development of robust test plans and procedures to support complex holographic optical products.

Duties and responsibilities associated with this role include:
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Partner with Customer Service to investigate and remedy customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
• Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
• Interpret quality control philosophy to L-3 Communications EOTech Leadership Team.
• Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
o Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
• Maintain
active role on internal Continuous Improvement teams.
• Design, develop and implement quality control training programs
• Plan and assign work of subordinates in the Quality Department
• Analyze facts or circumstances surrounding individual problems to determine what action should be taken within the limits of standard practices.
• Leadership in developing & implementing test strategies for various programs. This includes evaluating customer requirements, generating, reviewing & approving test plans for both
• hardware and software validations, directing qualification test schedules, analyzing data & reporting results.
• Interface with internal design and manufacturing personnel as well as program managers, business operations, quality and other external customer personnel.
• Assess test equipment needs and develop plans for further internal test capabilities. This includes supplier management for design, build, delivery and installation of test equipment.
• Successfully support and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Manage fault investigation and troubleshooting of test equipment.
• Prepare documentation for product design improvements, which includes design reviews, engineering specifications, statement of work, manufacturing process procedures.
• Work with Quality Department to develop reliability and quality monitor process to improve product robustness and durability.
• Recommend product design improvements based on test & analysis results.
• Manage all aspects of work subcontracted out to external test houses as well as support failure investigations and corrective actions.
• Periodically work in prototype lab and manufacturing floor as required.
• Direct/train QC, technicians and operators on new test methods & procedures.
• Generate and manage engineering change notifications.
• Lead/support certain budget and schedule activities as required by programs and upper management.
• Perform job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Job Requirements
• BS degree in engineering required with additional MBA degree a plus.
• Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in electronics product development / qualification environmental testing and test equipment design / implementation.
