Bench Technician - QC

Major Responsibilities:

Participate in Quality Control and Quality Assurance activities for our immunoassay, detection, and activity assay kits and their components.
Utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data.
Write technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Perform a variety of multi-departmental tasks, especially Manufacturing and Product Development
Work under general (minimal) supervision.

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Highly organized, proven multi-tasker.

Specific Duties:

Quality Control:

Carrying out testing and data analysis for incoming raw materials, in-process reagents and finished products.
Assist in establishing, improving and monitoring test methods and specifications.
Assist in performing studies to obtain data for product specification sheets and kit inserts.
Assess and improve product manufacturability.
Assist in equipment maintenance, calibration and records
Apply critical thinking for suggested efficiency changes.
Source, assess and review vendor critical raw materials.
Optimize and monitor product stability.
Maintain documentation, and create QC documentation.
Assist in Documentation, Technical Support, and other product oriented functions as needed.
