Job Title:
Program Manager
Reports To:
Engineering Operation Mgr.
Effectively manage all engineering functions and responsibilities for company, to manufacture products for various customer needs.

Responsible for all new tool programs, customer related engineering changes and technical support to the manufacturing functions of stampings, hot stamping, weld/assemblies.

1. Oversees all new program launches by working closely with program managers
2. Ensuring all new programs are PPAP and properly recorded by program managers
3. Oversee and verify first time run at rates and properly recorded.
4. Monitor all customer systems daily to verify for accuracy and timeliness.
5. Responsible for providing direction, development, oversight, and training to program managers as it relates to program assignments
6. Manage all new tool programs, coordinating resources to meet customer delivery dates (inclusive of design, build, tryout and PPAP sample submissions.
7. Responsible for the activities and supervision of the program engineering functions.
8. Provide on:going technical assistance to the manufacturing function in the production of stampings and weld/assemblies.
9. Responsible for a variety of new and modified designs, development and building of assigned products, requiring a broad knowledge of mechanical engineering, metal stamping and weld/assembly.
10. Coordinates development and implementation phases with project engineering, tooling and production operations in accordance with TS16949 and ISO14001 procedures. Assist in product design to meet customer needs.
11. Works from sketches, samples, customer specifications and requirements to analyze and oversee design, building, assembly, and testing of assigned products. Evaluates existing parts for use and/or adaptation in the new designs, including different materials, finishes, and production and cost factors.
12. Responsible to collect and communicate to the team customer engineering specifications.
13. Keeps informed of outside developments in metals technology, equipment, and manufacture of parts and weld/assemblies; and the possible application of these advancements to present or proposed company advancements.
14. Provide technical assistance to sales and customers to influence product design and provide viable cost proposals and manufacturing processes to meet respective customer needs.
15. Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during engineering activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
16. Maintains accurate files, records, studies and reports and share the information appropriately. Furnishes input on developing engineering standards and specifications.
17. Visits customers when required to discuss issues related to design, acceptability or application of products,
provides customer with samples, drawings and revisions when necessary.
18. Collaborates with operations, manufacturing, quality, sales, accounting and other departments in
development of improved methods and reduced costs (CSI) and carrying out assigned projects.
20. Attends and participates in Daily Production/Quality meetings.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for all program mangers within the Engineering department

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four:year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years previous experience in related field. Project/program management, FMEA, PFMEA, SPC, AQP and process variation analysis experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Forklift permit.
