Job Description

Arcadis Federal Programs is seeking a Business Development Management professional with demonstrated Department of Energy (DOE) client relationships, program understanding and business success for achieving exponential growth of Arcadis' environmental management planning, engineering, construction services (with particular emphasis on remediation and D4) water services, and other programmatic services.

Key functions and attributes include:

DOE Account Leadership:

* Assumes high-energy leader to work with ARCADIS' DOE account management with a primary focus on selling ARCADIS capabilities within the DOE marketplace to deliver a sustained $25M per year in net revenue in less than a 2-year ramp-up period with the goal of achieving a sustained $20M-30M program in 3-5 years.

* Offers working knowledge of DOE's Environmental Management, Office of Science and Energy Efficiency programs to include specific DOE laboratory, program office and headquarter operations and their decision-makers. Offers similar working relationships with DOE first-tier contracting organizations (e.g., M&Os), large and small business DOE multiple award contract holders and site-specific stakeholders. Vigorously promotes ARCADIS' management and technical differentiation among DOE decision-makers and associated stakeholders to generate market awareness and excitement for ARCADIS services and to create new opportunities for account growth.

* Leads technical and pursuit management teams to develop multiple touch points within the DOE organization to include constant client engagement with DOE decision-makers, teaming partners and affiliate organizations so as to pre-position and win significant \"game-changing\" opportunities in line with account growth goals.

* Offers additional insight and support into commercial nuclear utility markets, advancing synergies among industry partners and decision-makers,

Understanding the ARCADIS Organization:

* Develops a strong understanding of the ARCADIS organization and capabilities within 6 months, yet is capable of guiding pursuit team initiatives immediately to drive sales of ARCADIS' multi-disciplinary professional services in the short-term.

* Fosters an entrepreneurial spirit that pushes the account team beyond personal comfort zones, yet recognizes the team-player concept. Serves as \"coach\", inspiring personal initiatives and independent performance.

* Quickly establishes working relationships throughout the global organization to assist the account team with identifying and engaging appropriate resources while encouraging technical and management resources to support the DOE account strategy.

Required Qualifications

* 10+ years of relevant experience with DOE business development and/or program implementation; is likely an \"insider\"; and brings requisite abilities to formulate mid to longer-term business plans (3-5 years), achieve short-term revenue goals (within 2 years) and drive sales of Arcadis' services throughout all levels of the DOE complex to include establishing teaming relationships with DOE prime contractors.

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

* Has served as project, pursuit or program manager to deliver DOE exceptional outcomes

* Demonstrates strong analytical, risk assessment and \"return-on-investment\" acumen to protect corporate resources and ensure the most favorable business relationships and activities.

* Understands current DOE and Federal security requirements, to include a working knowledge of FOCI restrictions and accommodations.

* Understands and champions corporate business requirements and procedures while maintaining the highest personal integrity and ethics in all company internal and external activities.

* Maintains a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and government contracting requirements.

* Recognizes the Arcadis safety culture and ensures compliance with company requirements in all business activities and engagements. Maintains requisite corporate and, as appropriate, industry training and certifications.

Communication Skills and Style:

* Offers strong interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills and a demonstrated ability to \"make the case\" for engagement of Arcadis services on DOE opportunities among clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders.

* Articulates a vision and supporting tactical activities to support a DOE strategy that is easily understood and adopted by the DOE account team and company leadership.

* Creates rapport among teaming partners, industry stakeholders and account team resources to generate awareness of Arcadis offerings and create opportunities for collaboration.

* Leads pursuit teams and proposal activities to include responses to government RFPs; prepares presentations to internal/external audiences; attends/promotes industry leadership and visibility among stakeholders to include industry form participation.

Goal Oriented:

* Commits to metric-based results, based on a sustained strategy, which establishes the DOE as a High Growth/High Value client account in the time desired.

* Provides high energy to motivate account team and company resources to achieve desired outcomes.

* Is fiercely competitive. Maintains key client and stakeholder relationships. Seeks out market intelligence and applies same for making Arcadis a preferred-provider within the DOE space.

Preferred Qualifications

* Identifies opportunities based on evolving DOE procurement methods (i.e., DOE Tier 1 Teaming, DOE direct contracting, Guaranteed Firm Fixed Price contracting, application of emerging technologies) across multiple DOE programs and initiatives.

* Works with ARCADIS' technical and business specialists, identifies opportunities for \"first-in\" application of technical, programmatic and contracting solutions and the identification/promotion of ARCADIS' differentiators, while encouraging account team members to consider \"what else\" so as to day-light new opportunities for expanding work.

* Articulates a strategic vision for account growth, formulates supporting business case(s) and champions commitment across the ARCADIS organization to generate excitement for the DOE account and the application of ARCADIS cross-divisional services.
