Position Summary: Leader in the quality organization within NA programs, responsible for the overall quality (ensuring adherence to Harman BMS PLM processes). Quality oversight and instilling best practices in program execution for Software, Hardware and Process Compliance to ensure the utmost program results, continually reducing cost of poor quality, while maintaining 100 customer satisfaction. The position requires experience in conducting code reviews, analyzing code analysis tool results, confirming unit testing thoroughness, understanding embedded systems to ensure accurate integration and interface testing techniques.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Product Quality Leader will be directly managing team of Software APQP as required and dotted line responsibility for HW APQP.
Job Responsibilities:
:Define and execute the Quality plan in accordance with organizational BMS and ASPICE standards for large programs.
:Provide quality review of all artifacts required at each phase of the project.
:Plan and schedule cross functional activities worldwide in different regions such as maturity level reviews, preparation for customer audits, etc.
:Interface with customers, representing quality status and work closely with customer interfaces in Quality and Engineering
:Manage, execute and track quality activities in projects to achieve targets for time, cost and quality; in case of deviations drive escalations at different levels internal and external and track to closure.
:Report program health status regularly to different internal and external management levels.
:Coordinate quality impacting decisions and / or escalations on program side between all parties
:Drive the organization at Harman and customer, together with the quality counterpart at customer, to achieve high quality software during development up to serial phase.
:Coordinate and assure Harman quality requirements to customer.
:Conduct scheduled reviews with the appropriate process owners.
:Implement quality gates for any/all deliverables that go to customer
:Review all appropriate documentations, processes and results applicable, related to projects and if needed organize audits to get a visibility about the status.
:Ensure that Harman PLM processes lessons learned and best practices are understood and effective in practice.
:Maintain and understand all internal and external requirements.
:Address audit findings and assure proper action plans.
:Set up, track and analyze metrics to come up with action items to fix gaps
:Collaboration with other regional quality teams and global teams to ensure process adherence across organization
:Contribute towards organizational process definition/updates and improvements.
:Conduct performance reviews, career planning and guidance for team members as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
:Bachelors Degree in Engineering related field.
:5:7+ years of experience in Automotive Quality, specific to APQPand Program Management in similar programs
:Thorough understanding of Software development lifecycle and methodologies
:Thorough understanding of Manufacture and Product Compliance related to Functional Safety and Safe Lauch planning
:Experience in leading customer escalations
:Thorough knowledge of management systems, atleast one of CMMi or Automotive SPICE. Other standards such as ISO/TS16949 are desirable
:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
:Strong negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications and Desired Competencies:
:Drive for Results, Team Player, Change Orientation, Customer Focus, Self Awareness
:Seasoned professional in previous roles as a PM, Developer or Tester.
:PMP Certified
:Lead Assessor in at least one independent Program Audit using CMMi or ASPICE Level 3 standards
:Working knowledge of embedded systems in automotive industry.
:Development Experience in C++, JAVA
:Expert in Code Reviews and Unit Testing
