Position Summary:
A Functional Owner is responsible for analyzing, interpreting, understanding, and finalizing the assigned customer requirements for specific infotainment functions. This position will ensure that the functionality of specific features are planned, implemented, tested and working flawlessly on schedule and within budget. This role will interface with the customer, software engineers, software project managers, and other team members supporting the specific customer program.

The Functional Owner will act as a point:of:contact/liason between the Customer Program Management (CPM) Team and a specific technical domain whom they will represent. The Functional Owner will be expected to build their technical knowledge for their domain in order to sufficiently deliver the features associated with that domains expertise. Multiple groups within the Connected Car organization will look to the Functional Owner for that domain to support their needs and provide guidance.

As a Functional Owner, you will be expected to perform technical project management tasks to drive your team to success. Using your technical development experience, you will work closely with your domain to deliver the given featureset from start:to:finish.

Job Responsibilities:
:Responsible for analyzing and understanding the assigned Customer requirements specification (CRS) and change requests
:Communicating the Customer requirements to the various stakeholders (software development teams, program management teams, test/validation teams) effectively to solicit feasibility impact in a timely manner
:Responsible for interfacing with the customer for clarification of all assigned features and approval from the customer for any deviations from required features as defined in the customer specification
:Responsible for requesting the required resources from their domain necessary to implement the promised scope
:Responsible for planning the work packages for the assigned resources
:Commits what stories will be completed by the resources, when the stories will be completed, who works on each story and task
:Leads the activity of grooming the requirements into the Technical Requirements Specification (TRS). This task involves coordinating discussion and commitment with various teams to ensure correct description and acceptance criteria of assigned features.
:Responsible for linking the CRS entries to the TRS to ensure 100 CRS coverage
:Acts a face to the customer from a technical standpoint representing the engineering teams and CPM for their domain
:As part of being responsible for delivering a completed, working feature, the Functional Owner will also play a role in managing and facilitating the resolution of defects for their domain by clarifying requirements, coordinating interdomain discussion, and providing direction as set by program managers

Basic Qualifications:
:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
:Masters Degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration, PMP certification or similar formal training preferred
:Minimum of 5 years of embedded software development.
:5 years of C/C++, Java or other structured language.
:Familiarly with Android development preferred but
