Position Summary:
The Technical Sales Manager acts as the technical and commercial interface to the customer.

:Maintain and perform account management responsibilities defined as, but not limited to,
:Manage the day:to:day responsibilities of an assigned book of business, and act as the primary commercial interface to the customer for the assigned programs/ projects.
:Lead sales forecast process for the account (annual plus 5 year plan)
:Work with HARMAN internal stakeholdes within the Connected Car Division to prepare/ deliver/ present proposals, product roadmaps, supply plans and marketing programs.
:As part of the HARMAN BMS Process, align HARMAN Executives with Customer Executives as part of the account plan and aqusition activies related to RfI, RfQ, PoCs.
:Responsible for the customer account receivables for the assigned programs/ projects.
:Expedite all in:coming customer requests including PRRs, PFQs, Quality, Shipping concerns.
:Create and maintain strong relationships with key working level customers
:Attend customer events, supplier forums, etc. as needed (local customer, onsite).
:Interface with the customer on a daily basis as needed; participate and moderate customer meetings.
:Prepare acquisitions
:Maintain customer contacts in a specific market sector.
:Determine demand and evaluate feasible projects according to economic and technical aspects.
:Consult customers with the development of new concepts.
:Generate offers
:Check specifications of customers, or have them checked and if necessary substantiate them. Call in internal contacts and appraise possible ways of implementation according to technical, economic and chronological dimensions.
:Check and co:ordinate contracts. Contact contractual partners if necessary and define performance interfaces.
:Check and clarify technical, economic and environmental risks within the scope of tender preparation. Check availability, reliability and safety. Clarify additional developments. If deviations between specifications and offer descriptions arise, perform clarification with customer.
:Determine and pass on data for bid estimates according to economic, technical and environmental conditions. Compare order and bid. Document and clarify deviances, and if necessary correct calculations.
:Define the scope of supply and delivery. Determine target costs and deadlines. Define and determine logistics and general marginal conditions, e.g. terms of delivery.
:Technical and commercial customer support
:The TSM acts as the technical and commercial interface to the customer. All customers change requests (CCR, DCN) have to be coordinated with project management on a permanent basis during the entire duration of the project. Also ensure that its feasibility is checked and if necessary hand a revised tender to the customer. On the other hand, HARMAN has to inform and coordinate any technical changes that arise due to development advancements. If necessary obtain customers approval.
:Synchronize internal project time schedules with the series time schedules of the customer. Ensure that deviances are communicated into both directs, i.e. towards the customers and also to HARMAN.
