The Customer Program Management Director is responsible for the overall program delivery of the Harman Infotainment Systems specific to an individual customer. The Program Director will be the primary customer contact and escalation path for the customer. With the team, the Director will be responsible for planning and managing the end:to:end program. This includes not only planning the product development and testing, but the ramp up and readiness of the manufacturing plants. This role will be responsible to manage costs in order to meet program goals of the largest grossing program for this customer. They will maintain the technical customer relationship and have overall ownership of the schedule, scope and budget for all of the customers infotainment programs.
This position will have direct responsibility of approximately 5 : 10 direct reports, including but not limited to Program Managers, Co:Program Managers and Resident Engineers. Indirect responsibility for product development (EE/ME and SW), Functional Owners, Software Leads and Product testing and managing off shore team members.
:Initial planning and scope development during the RFI/RFQ phases of a project
:Implementation of the initial Harman PLM Process into the execution phases
:Responsible for initial project set:up and deployment readiness
:Responsible for budget planning and forecasting for all active projects
:Responsible for resource forecasting and planning for all active projects
:Be the customer Program Management interface during the initial RFI/RFQ phases of the program : responsible to manage the customer from the entry level to the senior level.
:Build and maintain a customer interface team to support customer relationships and manage the overall program development
:Responsible for evaluation, and development of team members' performance.
:Manage program risk proactively, identify program risks and cordinate meetings with the PM and multi discipline functions to address risks before they become issues.
:Accountable for ensuring communication of the customer requirements within the organization and interface with multiple groups within to ensure the customer's expectations are being met.
:Provide program status and represent program internally and externally to senior:level executives duing program, quality and operations reviews.
:Set direction and influence cross:department engagement for program execution and drive synchronization across multiple program teams.
:Bachelors in Electrical Enginering or Computer Science.
:15+ years related technical experience,
:10+ years senior in a leadership, program management, customer, supplier relationships
:Extensive experience in consulting and/or client:facing role is preferred
:Must have experince in development of complex electronic systems
:Must have expertise in driving complex projects and program deliverables
:Expereince in automotive and specificallly infotainment systems and their applications preferred
:Systems/software experience with complex development cycles that span multiple release versions preferred
:Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision
