Job Description
Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Sr. Radar Hardware Engineer at its facility located at15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170.S/he will be responsible for coordination of customer specific mechanical design of automotive radar electrical control units (Radar-ECU) for North American projects. S/he will evaluate customer requirements, will coordinate implementation of customer specific design features to fulfil requirements, and will perform requirements management in DOORS. S/he will evaluate customer requirements for environmental validation, will perform development of test plans in cooperation with reliability engineers, and will be responsible for creation and review of customer documentation and drawings for North American projects. S/he will be a direct link to mechanical engineers located in Europe and the manufacturing plant in Juarez (Mexico). S/he will coordinate bill of material creation and engineering change management in SAP. S/he will coordinate HW topics during the acquisition phase for new customer programs and will be a technical expert for climatic, dynamic, and chemical environmental testing. 10-20 % domestic and international travel to visit customer, plant, and development locations. REQS: Bachelor of Science degree, or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline plus 5 years of experience in Radar / Radar integration mechanics with an emphasis in Automotive development and manufacturing processes. Additionally, the applicant must have 5 years experience in the following: 1. Radar knowledge, including: FMCW principle, mechanical and RF-Integration of Radar Sensor Control Units in vehicles; 2. Design of brackets for automotive Radar Sensor Control units; 3. Quality methods, such as: 8D, 5x why, FMEA, DRBFM; 4. Mechanical design knowledge of Radar Sensor Control Units and 3D CAD system ProEngineer/Creo; and 5. Performing FEA (structural mechanics) for brackets and components for Radar Sensor Control Units with Ansys. Applicants interested should apply below.
