Position Summary:
This position is responsible for leading the conceptualization, implementation, and testing of technologies, tools, or processes while consistently demonstrating technical expertise. This role further enhances the technical aptitude of the entire engineering team through mentoring, leadership and research.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Job Responsibilities:
:Plan, organize, execute and monitor all aspects of projects to achieve commitments for delivery, performance, and financial requirements
:Lead technical discussions with customers to ensure requirements are met and customer is satisfied
:Prepare documents and reports with cross functional teams for engineering and program management along with participating in design reviews with customers and engineering peers
:Design and conduct test programs that support project initiatives
:Ensure product meets customer and internal requirements, specifications, and cost targets
:Conduct research and development for new technologies and products
:Research and review competitive products, technologies, and intellectual property
:Ensure that potential intellectual property is fully researched, documented, and protected
:Release and maintain controlled documents as required
Basic Qualifications:
:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 12 years of experience; or Master's Degree in above mentioned fields and 8 years of experience in research and development; or PhD degree in above mentioned fields and 4 years of experience in corporate or related field.
:Exceptional reputation as an innovator based on having created forward looking research, projects, and award winning publications
:Proven technical leadership
:Experience working in the technology industry or automotive industry
:Experience with the use of rapid prototyping tools for software and hardware, electronics, and mechanical design for consumer electronics and future device platforms
:In:depth experience with non:traditional input and output technologies, such as speech, gesture, touch, haptics, etc.
:Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business
Preferred Qualifications:
:Android and QT experience highly preferred
:Infotainment and HMI design experience a plus
:Programming experience with the following languages: C++, JavaScript, Java
:Experience with Adobe Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator)
:5+ years of embedded software development or testing experience.
:2 : 5+ years of C++ or other structured object:oriented language experience.

:Willingness to travel.
:Willingness to work in an office in Novi, MI
