Job DescriptionAmcor Rigid Plastics Sr. Manager, Sales & Resin AccountingManchester, MIPosition Overview:This role is part of the Amcor Rigid Plastics Shared Services group and reports to the VP Shared Services. The role is responsible for managing all aspects of sales and resin accounting, including managing complex resin pass through arrangements with customers, managing all aspects of revenue recognition, sales margin analysis, resin accounting including Material Price Variance (MPV)/ FIFO, resin inventory and payables valuation, quantifying resin related savings, working with procurement and business groups on forecasts and analytics. The role requires the successful candidate to manage multiple conflicting demands and to work effectively with a variety of stake holders.Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Manage sales accounting group by providing hands on guidance and leadership in the areas of revenue recognition, including customer pricing, billing, rebates, customer owned/paid tooling, customer claims and returns, impact of resin pass-through on pricing and other activities.Lead margin analysis and partner with the Business Finance leaders in analyzing impacts of various components on product margins.Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations, ensure month end reporting activities are performed timely and accurately.Ensure that transactions are recorded using appropriate currency and correctly reflect the legal structure of our various domestic and international subsidiaries, work with Group Treasury in identifying and managing FX risk in the respective areas.Lead Balance Sheet reviews with Business and Commercial Finance groups, providing our internal business partners with tools and analysis and enabling them in making better business decisions.Manage resin accounting group by providing guidance and leadership in the areas of MPV/FIFO calculation, resin inventory and payables valuation.Research resin market trends and communicate key pricing changes or market movements to ARP Finance and Commercial leadership teamWork with Commercial Finance teams to ensure changes to customer pricing are implemented correctly and timely in accordance with contracts and rein market price movementsWork closely with Commercial Finance team on resin pricing for new customersCollaborate with Procurement and Business Finance providing timely and detailed analysis related to impact of resin prices on company profitability and quantifying resin related savings.Lead resin forecasting process, including impacts of resin purchases and sales on cash flow.Oversee Resin MPV Monthly forecasting and yearly budgeting process and provide detailed analysis/bridges and commentary covering year-over-year and operating plan variances.Partner with procurement teams on sourcing initiatives and ensure data integrity of profitability and financial modeling.Lead M&A integration activities, including system implementations, for the above areas and work with a cross-functional team.Manage special projects and drive process improvement initiatives, as needed.Other tasks, ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as they arise.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
