Accounting Manager : Direct Hire
Position Description Summary:
Manage department providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management, the corporate office, and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Companys future.
Essential Function(s) of the Position:
:The duties listed below are the specific duties and tasks that someone in this position must accomplish (i.e. why the job exists.) These are the core responsibilities of the position that cannot be modified or eliminated. :Oversee the activities associated with corporate accounting to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including but not limited to monthly financial statements and annual budgets.
:Oversee the Accounts Payable function ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and payroll submission.
:Oversee the Accounts Receivable function ensuring the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable aging components, including billings, cash receipts application and similar activities.
:Guide and counsel the Sales, Application, Administration, and Service teams in the logistics process of the product to the client.
:Oversee payroll, payroll tax filings and distributions
:Assist with corporate tax filings and payments
:Maintain an accurate inventory.
:Establish, execute and maintain systems and internal controls.
:Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
:Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
:Maintain a safe work environment and operates within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines.
:Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
:Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
:Must have 10 years of hands:on accounting managerial experience.
:CPA certification is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
:Strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking.
:A thorough knowledge of BLM products, methods, and processes, as well as product logistics.
:Strong negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
:Strong managerial abilities.
:Proven problem resolution ability.
:Accurate; Detail oriented.
:Highly organized. Must have excellent time management skills.
:An effective team player who is able to work with all levels of team members and with all different types and levels of customers.
:Above average ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The incumbent works primarily in an office environment.
The position requires some travel, both domestically and internationally.

Reporting Relationships:
This position reports to the CFO
Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervises all positions within the Administration Department.
